Who is eChem?
eChem (Australia) Pty Ltd is a manufacturing company that supplies a range of low cost, high quality crop protection chemicals through reseller businesses, to Australian cotton, grain and sugar cane growers.
eChem was started in 1999 by four private Australian cotton growers, a cotton agronomist, a reseller principal and a former multinational chemical company employee.
The company is wholly owned and operated by its original shareholders, who between them have spent over 250 years in agriculture.

The company is based in the Australian farming town of Moree, in north western New South Wales.
The aims of eChem.
When eChem started, the Australian crop protection market was undergoing considerable change. Many products were affected by patent expiry and as a result multi-national companies experienced declining profits.
Mergers of multi national companies dramatically reduced the number of competitors in the market. However declining profit margins made them lose interest in selling some of the generics that were essential to profitable farming.
eChem was established with three main aims:
The eChem way of doing business.
eChem shareholders believe the key to business success is developing long term relationships with suppliers, resellers and farmers. These relationships develop best when business is mutually beneficial, simple and enjoyable.
The company's decision makers are not based in a capital city or foreign country, but in a rural area. They are in daily contact with resellers, other farmers and their agronomic advisors. This allows an uncommon understanding of the challenges of both farmers and resellers and enables flexible responses to their changing needs.
The simple objective of eChem is to be fair and flexible in all its business dealings.
eChem Product Stewardship.
eChem products are made from the best quality active ingredients.
eChem's suppliers in Australia and overseas also supply raw materials to multi national crop protection companies. Raw material suppliers are visited several times each year to monitor quality, and compliance to product standards.
Active ingredients are tested by two separate laboratories prior to formulation. Formulated products are quality assurance tested prior to release and as a final check, all batches are screened for 22 commonly available active ingredients to ensure that no accidental contamination has occurred at any stage of production.
To eChem's knowledge, this is not commonly done within the industry, even by multi national companies.
eChem sell the following products.

Defoliants:
Plant Growth Regulators:
